On 20 January, NHS England and NHS Improvement will launch the 'Pharmacy Advice' phase of the Help Us, Help You winter activity.

The campaign encourages the public to ‘take the drama out of minor illnesses’ and use their local pharmacy as the first place to go to for clinical advice on minor health concerns such as coughs, colds, tummy troubles and aches and pains.
This year the look and feel of the campaign has been updated with dramatic eye-catching new creative – featuring TV advert, social media, out-of-home bus shelter advertising, posters and digital assets.

Materials being sent to pharmacies and general practices focus on two common minor ailments – itchy eye and sore throat. A third creative for earache will feature in the campaign and a poster will be available for digital download via the Campaign Resource Centre from 20 January.

Check the Campaign Resource Centre next week as all materials will be available prior to launch date (embargoed until 20 January).

Downloadable materials include:

  • Posters
  • Digital assets including:
    • Digital Screens
    • Social Media Assets (subtitled TV ad and cut-downs)

Physical packs will automatically be sent to every community pharmacy and GP practice (main site) in England and will be received from next week.

All details about the Pharmacy pack and the GP Practice pack and their contents is on the Campaign Resource Centre.

PHE hope all partners will support this important campaign to highlight the integral role pharmacies play in the NHS. For further information, please do check the campaign page or contact the PHE Partnerships team at Partnerships@phe.gov.uk.
