Claiming for the Foundation Trainee Pharmacist Grant

NHS England has been working with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) to put in place a more streamlined process for payment of the foundation training grant (formerly the pre-registration grant). This will now involve an electronic registration process via MYS, which will replace the current locally managed application process.

The Portal will be live from the 14th September. For pharmacies who have trainees that started in July, as long as you claim before the 21^st September, you will get the payment included with your July reimbursements in October.

Pharmacies must complete via MYS and not send applications via email to Integrated Care Boards or to NHS England, as these will not be actioned; training grant applications will only be actioned via the MYS portal from September 2023. Find out more on the Community Pharmacy England website.
