'Walk In My Shoes' Project Engagement Events

Following on from the establishment of Primary Care Networks and the announcement of the new GP and Pharmacy Contracts, NHS England South (Wessex) Pharmacy Local Professional Network is inviting all pharmacies and GP practices to participate in a ‘Walk In My Shoes’ project (WIMS).

To help familiarise yourself with WIMS we encourage a leader from each pharmacy to attend one of the engagement events being delivered this autumn. CPSC would appreciate as wide an uptake as possible to ensure the success of this project. It’s important that as many pharmacies as possible are involved to ensure that community pharmacies are more closely integrated with their local GP practice and the wider healthcare system.

At these events you will have the opportunity to learn more about the WIMS toolkit and network with colleagues. You will get most benefit from attending the meeting that has the greatest relevance to the geography of your PCN but, if that is not possible, please feel to attend elsewhere.

Following the events, all pharmacies will be required to complete an Expression of Interest, plus an outcomes feedback form on PharmOutcomes. Each pharmacy that successfully completes the required forms by 31st March 2020 will receive £150.

The events are free to attend and include a two course hot meal.
