Hypo Pack resource availability for pharmacies in West Hampshire

A valuable new hypoglycaemia resource pack for pharmacists, pharmacy teams and people with diabetes is being delivered to every West Hampshire community pharmacy
Members of the West Hampshire CCG Medicines Optimisation Team will be visiting all community pharmacy sites over the next two months.
The purpose of the visit will be:
- to briefly introduce the pack to the team and discuss key ways in which the pack can be utilised within the pharmacy
- to aid the team in developing their knowledge of hypoglycaemic events, their prevention and what to do when they occur
- to explain the CCGs current focus on people with diabetes and the increased number of changes to medication that will be seen in community as a result of this
- to introduce engaged pharmacists to book-in to the two evening follow-up events in October to further develop pharmacists knowledge of diabetes and share their experiences of using the Hypo Pack resource
