Diabetes Focus Pharmacies Framework

We previously informed you of the Diabetes Focus Pharmacy Framework which has been developed by NHS England South (Wessex) Pharmacy Local Professional Network.

We are pleased to inform you that the framework is now available on PharmOutcomes and can be accessed under “Assessments”. To allow NHS England to review the evidence being collated by pharmacies on the framework, you will be required to complete as much information as possible on PharmOutcomes.

There are seven engagement and consolidation events planned across Wessex during February and early March 2019. These events will give you the opportunity to learn more about the framework and how to record your evidence, hear about how being a Diabetes Focus Pharmacy can support your patients and to learn how to do foot examinations. We would encourage you to start working through the framework in advance of the events.

Each of the engagement events will have a buffet available from 6.45pm with the presentations starting at 7.30pm. Registration for these events is via Eventbrite, please use the link shown below the event you wish to attend:

Each pharmacy that attends one of the above events and expresses an interest in becoming a Diabetes Focus Pharmacy will be eligible to claim £100. Each pharmacy that successfully completes the framework and submits a self-declaration of completion via PharmOutcomes will be eligible to claim a further £400.

Following the submission deadline of 31st March 2019, NHS England will complete random validation visits to pharmacies that have submitted a declaration on PharmOutcomes.
