Written by admin on Friday 4th October 2019

Welcome to this week's email postcard posted to all pharmacy contractors and pharmacists. Read on for more details...

You should soon receive your regular email from CPSC supporting you with this year's seasonal service. If you don't receive the email soon (which will have been sent to the email address that CPSC has on record for your pharmacy); then please contact the Office. A copy of the email is attached below.

CPSC is bringing to you a regular series of communications to contractors to support you in delivering this years flu season. Look out for the helpful and informative 'postcards' going forward.

As the flu season progresses we know many community pharmacy contractors and pharmacy teams are eager to make the service a great success again. These regular updates will ensure your team fully informed.

Let's all work together towards a Flu Free Wessex.

* Additional updates from Alison:

At Risk Focus - Respiratory Patients

Last year Hampshire hospital emergency departments saw an increase in respiratory patients who had not been vaccinated. Please make this 'at risk' group a priority for your flu service. Remember all patients will asthma or COPD are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine.

Don't forget to claim for your flu payments!

This year payment claims for the Flu Vaccination Service must must be made using the NHS Business Services Authority’s (NHSBSA) Manage Your Service (MYS) application. Contractors are required to register to access MYS.

IMPORTANT: IT platforms such as PharmOutcomes or Sonar may allow you to print out the flu claim form; however, you cannot submit electronic flu claims for payment using these platforms. You must submit your claims separately to NHSBSA via MYS only. Flu claims submitted using a paper claim form will NOT be accepted for payment.

PSNC recommends that contractors take a number of actions each month when claiming for flu payments. Find out more at: ow.ly/4djc50wwlfm

Monthly overview report for flu vaccination claims

Contractors or users with management level access to MYS can access the flu management information (MI) reports directly from the portal to provide information about any claims submitted over a defined period. The MI report can be generated at company level to view flu claim activity across all branches. Contact the MYS helpdesk at nhsbsa.mys@nhs.net if you require assistance with management level access.
