Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) IT Provider

Written by AlisonFreemantle on Friday 4th February 2022

Community pharmacies wishing to provide the service from 1st April onwards must confirm their choice of IT system during February 2022 at the latest

The national provision of IT (currently PharmOutcome to record consultations on) for the Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS), will end on 31st March 2022.

Community pharmacies that want to continue to provide CPCS must confirm their choice of IT system with their preferred provider during February 2022 at the latest. Failure to do so could impact service delivery.

If you have chosen to stay with the current provider (PharmOutcomes) you still need to confirm this with them.

The verified CPCS IT system suppliers are:

  • PharmOutcomes        Validated
  • Sonar                          Validated
  • Cegedim                     Not yet validated (expected prior to 1st April 2022
  • Positive Solutions        Not yet validated (expected on or after 1st April 2022)

The NHSE&I CPCS IT Provider ‘Switching/confirming guide’ explains the options.
