Dementia Friendly Pharmacies Framework Engagement final catch-up Event

To become an accredited Dementia Friendly Pharmacy each community pharmacy needed to attend one of the eight original engagement events organised in early 2018, as well as complete the framework available on PharmOutcomes by the end of March 2018.

We are now pleased to announce that there is one last final opportunity for the remaining non-accredited pharmacies to complete this in 2019

Training will be facilitated by representatives of Dorset LPC as previously.

This event will give you the opportunity to learn more about the framework and also hear about how being Dementia Friendly can support your patients.

Each pharmacy that attends this free event and expresses an interest in becoming a Dementia Friendly Pharmacy will be eligible to claim £100. Each pharmacy that then goes on to successfully complete the framework (details attached here) and submit a self-declaration of completion via PharmOutcomes will be eligible to claim a further £400. So, that's a £500 financial bonus per pharmacy for ensuring that your team are operating to the standards defined in the Dementia Friendly Framework.

NHS England will complete random validation visits to pharmacies that have submitted a declaration on PharmOutcomes following the submission deadline of 31st March 2019.
