Quality Payments - Gateway criteria important message

Failure to pass any of the 4 Gateway criteria renders the individual pharmacy ineligible to claim for any of the 8 quality payment criteria possible

This is regardless of whether they have met each of the quality payment requirements or not.

It is therefore essential that each Gateway criteria is re-checked for compliance during every review period.

NHS website Gateway criteria

This is the trickiest one to overlook. If the three elements required are not fully completed at each review period, then the pharmacy loses ALL of its revenue from ALL its quality payments for the whole year (potentially £6,400 or even more)

CPSC have performed some random checks of pharmacies records on the NHS website and found that some locations have not 'reviewed' and 'confirmed' the information on all three pages as required by NHS England. In these cases the individual pharmacies were unaware of this, as they had thought they had only recently done this previously and therefore thought all was OK. Not so!

A review of the NHS website must be done and confirmed between 11th September and 24th November 2017.
