This module has been produced to support you to refresh your knowledge about acute and chronic diarrhoea, especially over the summer season. It provides an overview of both conditions and how the community pharmacy team can provide the best support and advice to patients visiting their pharmacy.
- Do you know what the difference is between acute and chronic diarrhoea?
- Do you know that loperamide that should NOT be routinely offered to patients with diarrhoea?
- Do you know what advice to give to parents about baby who is on formula or solid foods?
This online training is provided free of charge to all community pharmacies located in Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth. The training has been funded by Community Pharmacy South Central to help pharmacies meet their requirement to deliver services and support health promotion activities throughout the year.
