New Virtual Outcomes Training Module:

This module has been produced to support you to refresh your knowledge about the recent changes to the Pharmacy Contraception Service (PCS). It provides an overview of how all the community pharmacy team can be involved in providing the elements of the service.

• Do you know how the service works and what training the pharmacist and team needs to complete?
• Do you know which patients are eligible to use the service and what the best methods are to engage them?
• Do you know what the maximum number of months supply you can give for initiation and continuation?

There is also a module for GP Surgeries to access that explains the service and how they can work with their local pharmacies to implement and signpost patients. The weblink for this module is:

This online training is provided free of charge to all community pharmacies located in Southampton, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth. The training has been funded by Community Pharmacy South Central to help pharmacies meet their requirement to deliver services and support health promotion activities throughout the year.
