Medicine Supply Notification

Norethisterone (Noriday®) 350microgram tablets are out of stock until mid-February 2024. Alternative progestogen-only oral contraceptives remain available and can support increased demand.

Noriday® is an older generation progestogen-only pill (POP) and the only one containing norethisterone. It has a three-hour missed dose window.

The newer generation POPs contain desogestrel 75micrograms which have a longer time window for missed doses. Switching between POPs can be made at any time in the patient’s cycle.
