‘it’s never too late to catch up on vaccination’

Measles cases are rising and likely to spread rapidly unless more people are vaccinated.

More than four million parents and carers, as well as many young adults may have missed out on one, or both, doses of the measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine.

It’s never too late to catch up. The MMR vaccine is free on the NHS, whatever your age. If anyone has missed one or both doses of the MMR vaccine, they should contact their GP surgery to book an appointment.

This applies to all staff as well as patients.

Symptoms include a high fever, sore red watery eyes and a blotchy red-brown rash. There is information on measles on the NHS website.

There are a variety of social media assets including the below that can be used as a poster which encourage people to check they and their children are up to date on their MMR vaccines.
