Hampshire & Isle of Wight LPC Annual General Meeting 2021 & Special Meeting to amend the LPC Constitution

This year’s Hampshire & Isle of Wight LPC Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 23rd September 2021, 13:00hrs to 13:15hrs, via a virtual Zoom meeting. The AGM is timed to coincide with a scheduled LPC meeting and will be a short meeting to enable other formal business to be conducted.

The AGM will follow a standard format adopted by many other LPCs and provides for all Contractors to vote to accept or reject the LPC Accounts by taking into consideration both the postal votes (that we expect most contractors will choose to exercise) and any votes made in person.

At the AGM the LPC’s annual accounts will be presented. They will be published on the website in due course, once available from the Accountants.

If you propose to attend the AGM in person please notify the LPC Office at least 48 hours beforehand by emailing skye.white@cpsc.org.uk so that we can send you the necessary Zoom invitation details.

Contractors are invited (and are encouraged) to vote on the accounts. The following form includes the voting information for those who wish to vote by post.

Special Meeting

To coincide with the AGM, a special meeting has been called to amend the LPC Constitution to allow the Committee to delay the elections for LPC membership by one year. Currently Members Term of Office expire on 31st March 2022. However, proposals for change about the future model of local and national contractor representation and support, are likely to be put to a contractor vote within the next year. For this reason, the Committee considers that the elections should be delayed until later in the year when the new model of support has been determined by the sector. To achieve this, we propose to amend the Constitution of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight LPC (Community Pharmacy South Central) as follows:

Existing Clause – 13. Term of Office

  • Subject to paragraphs 14 and 16, members of the Committee shall hold office from 1 April in the year of the election or appointment for a period of 4 years.

New Clause – 13. Term of Office

  • Subject to paragraphs 14 and 16, members of the Committee shall hold office from 1 April in the year of the election or appointment for a period of 4 years. [Except that the term of office starting on 1 April 2022 shall be postponed until 1 April 2023 and current LPC members shall hold office for a period of 5 years.]

All Contractors are eligible to attend this meeting, however, we recognise that it may be more convenient and practicable for you to exercise your vote by using the attached Voting Form.

Contractors are invited (and are encouraged) to vote on the proposed constitution amendments and the attached form includes the voting information for those who wish to vote by post/ email.
