The Menopause Support Service will help all colleagues understand the menopause better and access help when its needed

On 11th April, the Health & Wellbeing programme is launching a new Menopause Support Service for NHS Colleagues in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Menopause is a phase of life and everyone's experience of menopause is different. While some may sail through it with barely a symptom, it isn’t an easy transition for all. By increasing awareness of the menopause, encouraging open conversations, and with the right support, we can help to improve the experience at work and in personal lives too.

The HIOW ICS Health & Wellbeing programme are offering a Menopause Support Service to help all colleagues understand the menopause better and access help when its needed.

The service offers:

  • One to one appointments with advisers from the Health and Wellbeing Support Service: email HWSS@hhft.nhs.uk or online at the People Portal: https://bit.ly/37cVxpY.
  • Where appropriate, a referral letter to your GP can be given to you from our specialist clinician, Dr Caroline Taylor.
  • Menohealth are providing online menopause awareness sessions twice a month throughout the next year.
  • Henpicked are delivering sessions to train managers and menopause champions to help them support staff.
  • Online fitness classes are running three times a week specifically for those going through peri-menopause or menopause - focusing on improving bone strength and increasing fat burning potential.
