Pharmacy staff are asked to complete a survey to support development of the NHS App

NHS England are seeking Community Pharmacy sector wide responses to better understand how scanning medicines to the shelf to indicate medicine readiness might have the potential to ease some of the daily pressures and queries from patients about whether medicines are ready to be collected (especially for those not already issuing medicine readiness notifications to patients)

The survey is seeking views and information from pharmacy teams to help inform the future development of the NHS App, including use of scan-to-shelf technology for completed prescriptions awaiting collection by the patient and questions to assess the workload associated with patients contacting the pharmacy to enquire whether their repeat prescription is ready for collection.

The survey will take around nine minutes to complete.

The feedback from the survey will help NHS England and the pharmacy sector to better understand the challenges faced by pharmacy teams and identify areas for improvement and enhancement of the NHS App so it better supports pharmacy teams and patients.
