Make sure you are checking the EPS tracker due to higher volume of non-nominated prescriptions
Prescribers have been advised to use non-nominated prescriptions for products that are currently experiencing supply issues. As a result, you may receive a higher volume of non-nominated prescriptions than normal. Some patients may present with or without a paper token or will just have the token code (normally sent to them via text message or email.
Accessing the EPS Tracker
Ensure that everyone in the pharmacy team has access to and knows how to use the EPS Tracker (or the tracker built into your Patient Medication Record (PMR) system) so they can identify and retrieve returned or non-nominated EPS prescriptions. This may be useful where patients present at pharmacies other than their usual one and do not have the barcode details for scanning.
