ALERT: PQS essential actions to be done ASAP

Three reminders this week from Alison Freemantle, your Professional Services Development Manager

PQS Gateway Criteria
As part of the Pharmacy Quality Scheme there are 4 MUST DO criteria to complete in order to be eligible for the additional payments
Urgent - Update the 3 sections of your pharmacy’s NHS website with opening hours and 2020 bank holiday opening hours: this MUST be completed before 30th November 2019
PQS – Medicines Safety Audits
The data collection forms for the Medicines Safety PQS bundle are now available on the following CPSC website page:
- https://cpsc.org.uk/professionals/nhs-contract/quality-payments-introduction (note: the forms are in the 'PQS Audit' section and the referral information is in the 'New information and updates' section).
The Lithium (or alternative if no lithium patients) and Valproate audits, need to be carried out for a period of 3 months
PQS – Diabetes Foot & Eye Checks
The data collection form and retinopathy referral information can be found on the following CPSC website page:
- https://cpsc.org.uk/professionals/nhs-contract/quality-payments-introduction (note: the form is in the 'PQS Audit' section and the referral information is in the 'New information and updates' section).
This audit should start on 1st October and run for 4 months until 31st January 2020
