ACTION REQUIRED: All Hampshire pharmacies need to re-apply for provision of Public Health Services

It's now important for all Hampshire contractors to follow the guidance below to ensure that you fully understand how to re-apply for these locally commissioned services and be included in the framework that commences on 1st April 2019.

Details of the tender are as follows:

Title:Open Framework For The Provision Of Public Health Services
Description:The Open Framework For The Provision Of Public Health Services has been developed by Hampshire County Council to meet the demand of providing community based Public Health services over the next 5-7 years. It is an opportunity for providers to work with The Council to deliver these services in Hampshire moving forward.

The services under the Open Framework include:

• NHS Health Checks
• Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC)
• Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC)
• Influenza Immunisation for eligible HCC staff

This is not a definitive list and further similar opportunities may be available at any point of the life of the Open Framework.

The open Framework will commence on 1st April 2019 and will be for a period of five years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Interested parties should register their interest via the In-Tend website: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire and complete and submit the tender return documents together with any supporting information requested.

What to do:

  1. Open In-tend website page: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/hampshire/aspx
  2. Move cursor over 'Tenders' drop-down list at top of page, then click 'Current'
  3. Type in 'AS13272' into the 'Search' box and press enter
  4. Click 'View Details'
  5. Click 'Express Interest'
  6. You will now need to log-in or register. If you can remember your log-in details from your previous application several years ago, do so now. If you can't remember, press 'Forgotten Details' for a password reset, using your original email used previously. If you have never applied before then you must register your Company and contact details. If accepted, you will then receive an email with your log-in information
  7. Complete the application to express your interest in providing the services listed in Ref: AS13272, providing all necessary evidence as required.
    • Please look at the Presentation link below that provides further information on the In-Tend opt-in process.
    • For clarification, the only services available for provision in community pharmacies are: EHC and Seasonal Influenza Immunisation for eligible HCC staff.
    • NHS Health Checks is no longer available to provide in community pharmacies and the Chlamydia service has been decommissioned.

Additional information:

An evening Stakeholder event was held on 26th September at Hampshire County Council to explain the forthcoming process and provide some background information about the services proposed and any changes made from the current services commissioned. All Hampshire based pharmacy contractors were invited to attend, although only a small number took up the opportunity.
